Pan-European trading venue Nasdaq OMX Europe has extended trading to include the constituents of three European mid-cap indices. The AMX25, NEXT20 and MDAX include mid-cap stocks from the Netherlands, France and Germany respectively.
Nasdaq OMX Europe offers trading in stocks on 15 European indices at present, accounting for 750 securities in total. Rival MTF Turquoise currently offers trading in 1,469 stocks across 14 countries, BATS trades in 13 European countries and Chi-X offers 12, including the mid-cap indices that Nasdaq OMX Europe launched today.
Nasdaq OMX Europe intends to include further indices, including the Madrid General in Spain, ISEQ 20 in Ireland, iShares DJ Euro Stoxx 50 DE and iShares DAX DE in Germany, iShares AEX ETF in the Netherlands, and the pan-European iShares DJ Euro Stoxx 50.
