Nordea to offer FX execution on Orc ExNet utilising FIX protocol solution CameronFIX

Orc Software, a provider of technology for advanced trading, market making and brokerage, yesterday announced that Nordea, a financial services group in the Nordic and Baltic Sea region, will offer FX execution on the Orc ExNet to ExNet participants, commencing Q1.

Nordea will use CameronFIX, Orc’s Financial Information Exchange protocol (FIX) platform, to establish FIX connectivity including executable streaming rates to customers via ExNet as well as other ECN’s, multiportals, treasury systems and market places.Orc ExNet provides fund managers with non-membership access to major liquidity pools, including official exchanges and ECNs. “We are pleased to work with Orc Software to broaden our execution services towards ExNet participants,” says Kenneth Steengaard, head of e-Markets, Nordea. “In an increasingly fragmented FX market it is important for Nordea to connect to a variety of execution venues and we look forward to growing our business through this partnership.
