People Moves Monday: A series of executive hires

The past week saw two appointments from Citi, as well as new hires from TS Imagine and Euronext.

Citi appointed Tom Lynch, formerly of Goldman Sachs, as its new global head of prime sales. Lynch joined Citi from Hound Partners, where he spent the past two years serving as chief operating officer. Prior to that, he spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs, leading various teams across prime services sales, capital introduction and capital raising. Based in New York, Lynch reports directly to Fater Belbachir, global head of equities at Citi.

In another senior appointment from Citi, Fabio Lisanti assumed the role of head of European markets, excluding the UK at the bank. Lisanti was previously the head of western markets for Citi, a position he held for the past five years. Prior to that, he spent 21 years as managing director, global head of debt capital markets and client solutions at UBS. He was also a member of the board of the International Capital Markets Association for six years, ending his tenure in 2021. Lisanti is currently based in London but will be relocating to Paris in the coming months. He is responsible for driving forward Citi’s European client and people strategy.

TS Imagine appointed Frederic Villain as its new head of sales for Asia Pacific (APAC). As part of the role, Villain leads the firm’s APAC sales team across its offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo, holding responsibility for growth of the business in the region. Villain brings more than 25 years’ experience in sales management roles covering marketing, sales and account management for global financial software vendors. He joined TS Imagine from Itiviti, where he served as head of sales, APAC. Prior to that, he led regional sales in APAC for Bloomberg, Ullink (now part of Itiviti) and SUNGARD (now part of FIS).

Euronext selected a former Financial Conduct Authority individual to head up its market structure. Samantha Page joined Euronext after seven and a half years at the UK Watchdog in its wholesale banking division. Prior to joining the FCA in 2015, Page spent three years as a director in sales and marketing for futures and over the counter clearing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and just under two years at Royal Bank of Scotland as a director in central counterparty clearing. Previously she also spent two years at CME Group as an associate director in strategic sales, as well as four years in business development and four years in sales at NYSE – Liffe and virt-x respectively.
