US boutique asset manager Principal Global Investors has implemented the execution management system (EMS) from TS Imagine for its fixed income trading operations.
Through the partnership, TS Imagine’s platform will expand Principal Global Investors’ connectivity and access to credit markets. It will also aggregate data for more effective interaction with liquidity sources.
“Principal Global Investors was looking to enhance their fixed income trading infrastructure and found TS through discussions with their peer group asset managers and dealers… TS was chosen for its advanced data and trading workflows as well as its client-focused development program,” said Paul Reynolds, head fixed income at TS Imagine.
“At TS Imagine we really believe FI trading infrastructure has a long way to go catch up with other asset classes and our work with Principal Global Investors and other users will ensure we close that gap very quickly.”
The integration of the TS Imagine by Principal Global Investors follows the merger of TradingScreen and Imagine Software to create the newly merged end-to-end investment management platform, after Francisco Partners acquired TradingScreen.
The pair initially partnered to launch a front-to-back trading solution in August last year, creating a combined solution that covers the full trade lifecycle with standardised and simplified deployment to enable hedge funds, asset managers, global macro and alternative fund managers, to upgrade their software.
Since the merger, TS Imagine became the first vendor to integrate pre-trade analytics from US investment bank Goldman Sachs onto its platform meaning its users can automate more of their equity trading workflow.
