Barcelona-based broking house SeBroker has become a member of NYSE Arca Europe, the displayed pan-European multilateral trading facility (MTF) operated by global exchange group NYSE Euronext.

It has become the MTF’s first Spanish and Portuguese member.

SeBroker has joined the NYSE Arca Europe as part of its plan to expand its trading operations

and grow its European presence. It is currently a member of the Barcelona Stock Exchange, the Madrid Stock Exchange, the Spanish Futures Exchange, the four Euronext exchanges (Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lisbon) and Deutsche Börse’s Xetra electronic order book.

“This is a step forward for SeBroker’s expansion plans,” said Alberto Romagosa, CEO of SeBroker, in a statement. “We strongly believe this new venue will further enhance the quality of execution and sourcing of liquidity SeBroker offers our institutional clients.”

Virginie Saade, head of NYSE Arca Europe, added, “With already more than 30 members, amongst them leading financial firms and high-frequency traders from the UK and continental Europe, this is a further positive step in expanding our footprint across Europe.”

NYSE Arca Europe, which launched in March, trades blue-chip stocks from 11 European countries.
