Aakarsh Bansal has joined HSBC as an emerging markets credit trader, based in London.
Bansal joins the firm after a tenure at Deutsche Bank, where he held the same role for five years.
He brings extensive fixed income trading experience to his new position, and prior to his time at Deutsche Bank, spent five years at BBVA as a credit trader, where he worked across European investment grade corporate bonds.
Bansal also gained early career experience at Societe Generale in Paris.

HSBC had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
Earlier this year, HSBC expanded its equity and listed derivatives desk with the appointment of Pierre Gilles de la Londe as a trader back in January 2026.
He joined the firm from Alana Capital, where he spent a year as a cross-asset trader, spanning equities, derivatives, bonds and FX.
