Spanish exchange group BME enters IBEX mid cap index

The Technical Advisory Committee of the IBEX Indices has decided to incorporate Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) into the IBEX MEDIUM CAP Index with effect from 2 January, in accordance with the Technical Regulations for the Composition and Calculation of the IBEX Indices.

Technical Advisory Committee of the IBEX Indices has decided to incorporate

Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) into the IBEX MEDIUM CAP Index with effect

from 2 January, in accordance with the Technical Regulations for the

Composition and Calculation of the IBEX Indices.

BME will be

added to the index with a free float factor of 100% and the number of shares

taken into account for the calculation of the index will be 83.615.558. According

to the available data at December 22nd, BME shall rank 7th in computable

capitalization among the IBEX MEDIUM CAP components.

The IBEX

MEDIUM CAP is an investable index which tracks the performance of medium

capitalisation companies listed on the Spanish Stock Market. The stocks are

adjusted by free-float, once the IBEX 35 stocks are excluded, as long as they

meet liquidity requirements.

On December

18, BME was also incorporated into the DJ Stoxx 600. This is an index produced

by Stoxx, and includes the 600 largest companies in the DJ STOXX Total Market

Index.
