The past week has seen a swathe of significant moves across the buy-side, including a head of trading departure, as well as several other senior appointments.

New hire previously spent nearly five years at RBC, and has also served at ODDO BHF, Societe Generale and Eurex.  

This past week saw a series of senior appointments across global equities trading, electronic execution and repo.  

The appointment is expected to bolster Bernstein’s Continental and Dutch platform and strengthen the firm’s franchise in the region.  

This past week saw a flurry of moves across the industry, including a global head of electronic trading, head of electronic fixed income, and a senior credit desk hire.

New hire joins after a three-year tenure at AXA IM; he brings extensive multi-asset electronic trading experience to his new role.  

The equities and research joint venture between Societe Generale and AllianceBernstein was announced in 2024; redundancies are currently being made on a voluntary basis, The TRADE understands.

The new product launch, developed in close collaboration with Societe Generale, comes off the back of the recent surge in ETFs across the industry. 

Individual had been at Peel Hunt for two years, and joins the firm alongside former Bernstein head of portfolio trading strategy and risk. 

Both appointments bring more than 20 years’ experience to the firm, having previously held positions at Jefferies and Bank of America.
