New hire brings more than 15 years of buy-and sell-side experience to his new role, including stints at BlackRock and Rothschild & Co.
New hire was previously one of The TRADE’s Rising Stars of Trading and Execution for 2025.
The proposals specifically focus on rules 611 and 610 (e), which span the ‘trade-through rule’ and ‘locked’ and ‘crossed’ market restrictions, and aim to better align regulation with modernising US equity markets.
Cboe has received SEC approval to launch 23/5 US equities trading on its EDGX exchange; move to extend trading hours follows “the strong growth of Cboe’s early market US equities trading sessions,” head of North American equities tells The TRADE.
The new offering – set to launch on 13 July 2026 – will include a pre- and post-market session; builds on recent efforts to expand Cboe’s extended trading hours initiatives in other sectors of its business.
The collaboration expands the firm’s NYFIX platform and will provide clients with access to extended hours liquidity across more than 4,000 US equities.
The past week has seen a spate of moves across the sell-side, including a new global head of equities hire, as well as additions to outsourced and equity sales trading desks.
Addition brings previous equity sales trading experience to the role; previously spent five years at asset manager Polar Capital.
New hire will spearhead the firm’s global equities business, including sales and trading.
New hire brings more than two decades of experience to the role, and also previously served at firms including Fidelity, Sanford C. Bernstein and TT International.
